The idea behind the following swing-trade setup is a common one: Enter in the direction of the prevailing momentum (i.e., trend) when the market offers an advantageous price (i.e., a correction of some kind).

The two requirements for this setup are: 1) determining whether the current trend is up or down and 2) determining when price has corrected enough to merit taking a position.
